Lessons from kim

Kim taught me a valuable lesson while she was down here.

“When you ask for something, be prepared to get it.”

I posted a while ago about things I’d like at my work, but I wasn’t expecting anyone to do anything about it. Kim, of course, had a different idea. She went out and bought me a bunch of snacks. I was super excited to get them! The only problem is that once I brought them to work, I started eating them. Having snacks is all fun and everything, but it makes it a LOT harder to lose weight when you are constantly snacking on animal crackers, or Scooby snacks.

I do appreciate it, and I definitely learned my lesson about having snacks at work.

Speaking of work, I learned a few more benefits they offer here. First they have a discounted gym membership for $21 a month (it’s normally a minimum of $25 per person, plus a $200 sign up fee). They have also started offering a part tuition reimbursement program. Its not full tuition, but it is a decent amount.

Yes, I have also learned the hard way: be careful what you ask for.

See if I do anything nice for you again! Just kidding...That is great about the gym membership. I'm also waiting to hear of more deals...seeing how the students do without the teacher there to guide them!

Yeah, I have had similar experiences like wishing for Chocolate and when Bryan gets me a bag of candy, eating the whole thing then having a belly ache....mmmm chocolate.....

That is funny because when I was reading your previous blog I thought it was funny that you thought your job should offer snacks and a gym membership. I guess the two would cross each other out.
